2021 — Year of Nizami Ganjavi
Nizami Ganjavi, a 12th century Azerbaijani poet, is considered to be the greatest romantic epic poet writing his works in Persian language. In 2021 our country celebrated his 880th birthday. Our client Azercell decided to contribute to this great occasion. So our Agency was tasked to come up with the idea to celebrate this occasion in a non-standard and engaging way.
The Idea
Azercell is a digital telecom provider and one of the main drivers of innovations in Azerbaijan. Considering that we proposed the brand to digitalize Nizami Ganjavi's heritage through the most used digital tools.
We developed a campaign that lasted for 4 months and consisted of different periods dedicated to 5 Khamsas of Nizami. First we re-created Azerbaijani alphabet stylized in Nizami Ganjavi's "Khamsa" illustrations and digitalized it into web constructor — to let people use it on their social media accounts or download the alphabet.
We also created a series of social media contests around Nizami Ganjavi and his "Khamsa".
And lastly developed a GIF Packs of Nizami Ganjavi's characters and alphabet. All of these activities had educational twist into Azerbaijani culture. The campaign had a higest rate of engagement on Instagram.
